Professional Writing

My second week of the professional writing course has past and I find myself hard at work and the challenge itself is surprisingly refreshing. After nearly a year of staying at home, the change is welcome, even if it is really tiring. I'm looking forward to next week.

A Taste of Dark...

Here is a little taste of WITCH DARK, my work in progress...   Not even the full moon or the scattered stars could pierce the blackness of the dense woodland and the heavy mists that settled in around it. The darkness was overwhelming. Even the animal s, accustomed to nature’s changing moods, seemed to fear the very source of these shadows. Cuddles

In loving memory of one of the cutest cats... Warm and rested by the fire, Dark with aubern, her thick fur glowed. Her presense calm in quiet slumber Watching embers fade. Those she loved around her always, Laughing at her chatter. Small but large were her demands, Cute and inane banter. In the dark her green eyes glistened, Pierced into the soul. She never like the policeman coming, Hissing from the bed. Her footbaall skills unparallelled, Despite her timid nature She always gave it all she had, The ball did not escape her. Sleeping curled on daddy's lap, Resting with eyes closed No one would disturb her there, Just watched her dream and doze. Gone from the world to a better place Where there is no pain, Only happiness and joy, She waits to see you again. To Cuddles, the persian. May you forever play in fields and catch mice. xxx

New Project for a New Year

Happy New year everyone, and may this new year bring all the good luck and fortune that you wish for.  And of course, it wouldn't be a New year without a resolution! And mine is to start a new book. So I am determined to begin my new project this week. Witches, mortals and hunters, oh my! This next project sees the town of Witch- Haven, the home of the paranormal plunged into a New and terrible darkness. Friends and enemies must band together to protect their own as years of unrest and war arise around the once sleepy little town... What are your resolutions? Do you even make them?
