The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug

Well, cinema goers, here is yet another film that you will not be disappointed with; packed full of action, awesome special effects and enough yummy actors to keep the girls happy, the second instalment of the Hobbit is definitely worth the trip.

Now, for those who went to see the first one and found that the beginning was a bit dull - which is true because it does start off quite slow - you won't have any any issue with the start of this film. It is action packed from beginning to end, complete with skin-changers, orks, elves and even our favourite baddy, Sauron (say hi to Benedict Cumberbatch people!).

Anyway, I know some diehard fans might have some issues with it, like They did with the first one: Galadriel is in it again and Legolas is one of the main stars. But these characters really do tie the Hobbit films and the previous LOTR films in quite well. So I'm not complaining - if anything, I'm more impressed by how they've managed to pad out a few hundred page book into three massive movies!

Overall, this film was superb, and in 3D it was so amazing to watch; everything was crystal clear. My favourite parts have to be Bilbo meeting Smaug and Tauriel the elf talking to the dwarf tottie - I do love a little romantic edge.

I give this film 4.5 stars. Mostly because it ended on a cliffhanger and I was so annoyed! I wanted more!
