Blood Prophecy: The Fated Three

The darkness is rising. Thousands of years ago, a prophecy was foretold and now it has awakened…
17-year-old Selene Giovanni loses her father at a young age and is forever separated from her peers by the experience and an abusive mother.
When a young stranger, Gregori, starts at her school, Selene’s world changes dramatically. Her once dull and lonely life becomes exciting and dangerous.
With vampires and werewolves around every corner, Selene must make a choice between love, death and the fate of the world. And that is only the beginning…

Take a Look:

After my mysterious yet irritable night of sleep and disturbed thought, I looked forward to Ancient History: where I would see Gregori again. Despite his behaviour towards me - that could be described as bitter and almost inhospitable - I was becoming accustomed and somewhat addicted to his presence.

In the afternoon, I was late to class. Again. English is a good subject but there are many details which one needs to write down. Especially when studying Shakespeare. I hid my face as I crept in, hoping the teacher, a substitute, wouldn’t notice my sudden arrival through the heavy wooden door.

Unlucky for me, she turned as I sat and zoned in upon the ‘guilty’ look resting on my face, ‘…delicately framing my features,’ she said.

‘Whatever,’ I mumbled to myself, simply relieved I hadn’t been scolded or put in detention. I would have hated that. Despised it.

Gregori chuckled beside me. I noticed, to my deep satisfaction, that he was in a good mood today so I smiled up at him. Suddenly, we both found ourselves in fits of hysterical laughter. Unexplainable laughter: unbelievable. We laughed so hard, we nearly missed the instruction from the substitute: my cameo was to undergo a thorough investigation, as well as my family history.

During the lesson, Gregori asked me why I was always by myself, commenting on the fact that I seem to distance myself from others a lot of the time throughout school. I suppose I should have been offended but there was a devilish glint to his eye and a caring lilt in his smile which captivated me. I answered immediately, ‘I’m always alone.’ My voice wasn’t my own, it was so sad and dejected; he laughed. The sound, deep and gentle, wrapped its way around me like warm silk, making my heart race.

He must have noticed; those crystal blue eyes looked at my lips, if only for a second. Gregori bent his head down slowly, for a moment I thought... well, I didn’t think. ‘You are too lovely, Selene.’ He whispered my name like a caress, sending shivers tingling up and down my spine as he pulled away and smiled.

His scent lingered; aftershave imbued with the undertones of masculine musk and power. A feral, almost wild scent. No wonder he kept to the shadows; he was probably a ‘chick’ magnet.

There was definitely something about him. With blue eyes of the ocean and marbled skin, he was perfect in every way. I knew I’d seen him before. I looked towards him.

Who are you? I thought to myself.
